Braos House

Motiv: Villa Braos

Braos House

The House is located at the edge of the village of Rodakino with view along the valley to the sea. Rodakino is the greek word for peach, the name is said to be inspired by the backing mountains' shape. The village at crete's south coast is a rather quiet place even during main season. There is a super-market, a kafeneion, a hotel bar, some pensions and a lot of nature. The nearby village of Plakias, in contrast, offers everything Rodakino doesn't: bars, more tavernas, rent cars, shops, doctor and pharmacy. The usual civilisation isn't far away, just in case.

Villa Braos has a large terrace and garden, sleeping room with double bed, living area with fireplace, open kitchen and a large bathroom with tub and washing machine. The living room sofa can be converted into two single beds. All furniture is handmade by a cousin, even the bathroom mirror supports the house's individual style. The kitchen is fully equipped for four persons with large fridge, oven, plates and dishwasher. The house has air-condition and TV. The wardrobes in the bedroom offer space for several luggage contents, a mosquito net over the bed may proof helpful. Additionally there's a TV, making up table and a desk. House service like cleaning and change of towels takes place every three days. Terrace and garden are suitable for kids of course. The well isn't dagerous, there's further water to play with and the lawn is rather robust. Suitable for beautiful holidays at a calm place in the south of Crete

Beaches and Surroundings

The beach road is winding  2km downhill and turns right at the beach, continuing along the coast until it ends at a taverna. At Koraka Beach sunbeds and umbrellas are available during the season. Further away at Agia Marina behind the last taverna there's beach only, free of obstacles. Walking east there are further bays and beaches reachable only by foot, the village's harbour lies on the way.
